Trinkets grew out of my interest in community, sustainability, and nonprofit development, but also from recognizing a very simple disconnect: people spend significant money and resources creating meaningful celebrations, yet many of those materials are used once and then stored, discarded, or become difficult to rehome. At the same time, other people are trying to create meaningful gatherings on limited budgets.

I kept coming back to the idea that the end of one celebration could help make another possible.

My background in education, research, program evaluation, and nonprofit strategy made me think beyond a traditional resale model. I wanted to create something that could reduce waste, make celebration resources more accessible, educate people about reuse, and build a sustainable local system around gathering. That became Trinkets.
