Trinkets Thrift, Inc. ("Trinkets Thrift," "we," "us") runs trinketsthrift.org. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, city or county, information about your work and experience, your interest in serving or volunteering, your availability, your message, and any resume or other file you choose to upload.
Optional demographic questions. Our board interest form includes optional questions about age range, race or ethnicity, and gender identity. We ask so we can understand whether our board reflects the community we serve. Answering is your choice and does not affect your application. We review these answers as totals, not individually.
Donations. If you donate online, your donation is handled by our donation platform, Zeffy, and its payment processor, Stripe. We receive information such as your name, contact details and the amount of your gift. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collects some information about visits, such as pages viewed, browser and device type, the site that referred you, and general location based on your IP address. This is done through cookies and similar tools, described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use information
We use information to:
respond to messages and requests,
consider applications for our board and contact applicants,
connect with people interested in volunteering,
process and acknowledge donations and keep accurate records,
keep our forms secure and free of spam, and
understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our organization and this website:
Service providers that help us operate the site and handle forms, email, analytics and donations, such as Squarespace, Google, Zeffy and Stripe. They may use information only to provide their services, under their own privacy policies.
People within Trinkets Thrift, such as staff, board members or volunteers, who need it for their role, for example reviewing board applications.
When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Trinkets Thrift and others.
If you join our board, we will ask you before putting any information about you on our website.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as required by law, and then delete it. Board applications and resumes from people who are not appointed are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw a board application, by emailing admin@trinketsthrift.org. Making a request will not affect how we treat you or your application.

Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information we have not asked for, such as Social Security or bank account numbers, through our forms.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites, including our social media pages and our donation platform. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
